Getting a puppy from us

We are a small-scale breeder and will have no more than one litter a year. This ensures that we have sufficient time and strength to breed the puppies with genuineness.
Our sole demand to you as a puppy owner is that you can offer a caring home where the puppy can get a long quality life. We do not require that you go on dog shows and otherwise compete with the dog – we do not expect you to be as passionated as we are. But if you decide to compete with the dog, we offer you all the help we can give.
Our puppies do not accept visitors until they are 5 weeks old – you cannot get a valid impression prior that age.

During the puppies maturing we note the unique characteristics of each puppy. This knowledge connected with what we know about you provides a recommendation of which puppy for you to have. Often more than one puppy can be recommended, and together with you we choose which one should be yours.

According to SKK (Swedish Kennel Club) the price of a puppy lies from SEK 8,000 and up. Today’s normal price for a whippet is between SEK 9,500 and SEK 11,000. Our puppies will be sold at a price of SEK 10,000 (this is the price for picking up at the kennel. Additional transportation is paid by the puppy buyer.)

The puppies will be handed over at the age of 8 weeks (earlier hand over is not permitted by SKK). If required we will hold the puppy longer, but bylaw and economically the ownership is transferred at the age of 8 weeks.

 

We comply with the SKK’s recommendations, which means that the puppy on delivery

  • Is registered in SKK (you receive the CD “Welcome puppy” – in Swedish)
  • Is chip marked
  • Is vaccinated against Parvo
  • Is dewormed according to the actual suppliers recommendation
  • Has no more than a week old health certificate from a veterinary

 

In addition our puppy owners receive a “start-up package” including

  • One-year membership of the Swedish Whippet Club (if your not already a member)
  • A puppy collar and leash
  • Dog food for approximately five days
  • A hound toy
  • A fleece blanket
  • A puppy fleece gear (if the puppy is delivered in the cold part of the year)
  • “Welcome puppy from Kennel Magic Colour” – a folder with practical recommendation regarding food, day-to-day handling, exercising etc.
