Jazzo litter born 2010-02-02

2010-02-09 One week old

So far it is very quiet in the puppy corner, and Sille is doing all the job (but of course she demands a lot of food). You see how the little ones increase in size each day. Sille has started to leave the basket, and has started to accept dog visitors.

2010-02-03 One day old

It is quiet in the puppy corner. Sille only leaves the corner reluctantly, when we force her to go pee. :-)

It was a little chock to us, when the last three puppies where mainly white - we are use to getting all different colours. But when investigating them today two of them is not all white - they have a more fawn head and fawn spots over the body. But male five is as white as it gets! We think their character will change once the nose turns black and they open their eyes

2010-02-02 The puppies has arrived

One day prior schedule the puppies arrived - 2 females and 5 males. The first puppy arrived app. 3 o'clock and 3 hours later the last one was borne.

The girls is weight 280 and 320 grams, the males weight between 330 and 360 grams.

Both Sille and her puppies is in good health and is relaxing in the puppy corner.

2010-01-30 Eight week pregnant

Now it is obvious that there is little time left. Sille is troubled by her enlarged stomach and it's difficult to find a good rest position. Her eyes look tired saying "it must be time soon".

She don't take long walks anymore partly caused by her enlargement partly by the frost (this weekend we had -24 C)

2010-01-27 Sille on x-ray

Finally time for Sille's x-ray and some certainty of the number of puppies. The picture definitely showed seven puppies - this was rather expected as her weight is similar to the last pregnancy where she gave birth to eight puppies.

2010-01-23 Seven weeks pregnant

Sille is much bigger than usual and you clearly see the "barrel" silhouette. She has gain app. 3 kilo which is an app. 20% increase. This is almost exactly the same increase as last time she was pregnant (where she gave birth to 8 puppies).

She is a little restricted by the additional weight and by the puppies squeezing her organs. You can both feel and see that there is life inside her :-)

2010-01-16 Sille six weeks pregnant

Now your clearly see that Sille is pregnant... Otherwise everything is as usual, she is keen on talking a walk and is not in any way affected by her pregnancy.

Soon we will know how many there is inside.

2010-01-08 Five weeks after mating

Now there is no doubt: there is puppies in Sille. We clearly see that the stomach is enlarged, and her nipples have become big and soft - just like the puppies wants' them.

2010-01-02 Four weeks after mating

After a non-eating week, Sille has started to eat again. Otherwise everything is as usual - Sille is as happy as always.

2009-12-25 Three weeks after mating

During the week Sille stopped eating and refused to go on longer walks. To us this is clear signs that something is going on :-)

Wouldn't expect any outsider to feel it, but all who knows Sille feels that something is happening... you can actually feel that the stomach has changed, and her nipples have increased dramatically ... And she is even more kissable than ever :-)

2009-12-12 A week after mating

She is rather funny, immediately after mating she completely changed behaviour. From no interest in Dibas puppies, she has almost taken over the babies - we are pretty sure something is on it way :-)

2009-12-04 Sille have been mated

According to the veterinary Sille should be ready for mating Wednesday (2/12), and obviously we went to Jazzo. We were a little disappointed when the feelings from both dogs were rather calm. We decided to come back two days later (4/12). Well back Jazzo was a little more interested, but Sille was sto showing a rather refusing attitude.  But as soon as we gave a helping hand by lifting Sille and making her “irresistible, there were hot feelings. After a short time they were hanging and to our surprise Sille wasn’t grumbling…

During the visit we had the opportunity to have a little more contact with Jazzo, and we were not disappointed. He is just as attractive as we remembered him and what a wonderful cool temperament he showed. Being out of home he was rather calm and lay down beside us in the sofa as if we were best friends… that’s how a whippet should be J

A little earlier than expected, Sille has begun her period. If she follows the same cycle as last time, she will be made around first of December (and puppies will then arrive around first of February).

We are planning to made our Sille (Magic Colour Scented Silhoutte) with Jazzo (Hot Isle Jazzo)

Jazzo is a beautiful male with correct size who loves the LC field.

Sille is from our first litter. She is a happy dog with much love to give. She kiss and hug everyone she runs into. She is doing fine on shows, has Lure Coursing license and is very fun of agility and blood track.

This will be Silles second litter
